Taking my child out of doors.
Remembering how exciting a new adventure can be.
Following her joy with my own.
Matching her wonder at what she sees there, with my wonder at what I see here.
Melting, in imperceptible degrees of meltiness, at the knowledge that she? She loves her Daddy like I love mine.
Reflecting on how it is that two people are the very light and the air in my world.
Being thankful for the moments.
When I can breathe them in.
And just . . . soak up their rays.
